Rapidly organizing the medical evacuation of a sailor from Douala to Jakarta. The complexity lies in finding the best itinerary and an experienced doctor for this type of mission involving stopovers, plane changes and time differences. Despite the radio silence during the flight, the information received at the stopovers was reassuring: the doctor had managed to deal with the unexpected, and the patient’s condition had remained stable after 40 hours in hospital in Douala. Although this is not our first operation on this scale, the relief on arrival is tangible.
